Pre-operatory

  1. "During the pre-operative of Abdominoplasty, it is important that the patient exercises with a sand bag over the abdomen, increasing the weight over time (5, 10, 15 and 20kg). Exercises should be practiced three times a day, until the patient starts to feel some discomfort, inspiring and expiring slowly. Practicing these exercises help to providethe best post-operative as possible, making the patient easily used to the ´tightening´ of the abdominal area (Apo neurotic muscle)."

  2. "Pre-operative exams and detailed explanations of all pertinent information necessary are really important steps before the procedure. It is important to report diseases such as hepatitis B and HIV, prescribed medication, consumption of alcohol and injectable drugs. It is also necessary to interrupt the use of anti-clotting medication, birth control pills. It is very important to quit smoking 2 weeks before the procedure. Medications such as Ginkko biloba might also interfere with clotting and should be suspended."

  3. 1."It is important to carefully report your previous surgeries, allergies, painkillers, anti-inflammatory and antibiotic medication that is taken. It is also important that the patient informs the surgeon if the surgery is close to her menstruation, if she has PMS and if she experiences pain in her breasts and/or abdomen."
